报告人简介:

Tracy was an Associated Professor in Microbiology at Nankai University, China before she came to Cambridge. Her PhD was jointly performed in Nankai University and Bayer Crop Science, Belgium on investigating the diversity of Bacillus thuringiensis in China and identification of novel cry genes. In 2003, she was awarded a Wellcome Trust International Fellowship and joined Professor David Ellar’s group at Department of Biochemistry, University of Cambridge worked on the pathogenesis of the Bacillus cereus group. Tracy moved to Professor Duncan Maskell's group at the Department of Veterinary Medicine, University of Cambridge in 2006. As the senior scientist in the group, she played key roles in research and coordination of several UK and international multidiscipline projects, using cutting edge functional genomics approaches to identify virulence factors and develop vaccine candidates of bacteria pathogens in pigs and poultry. Tracy has developed and sustained high competitive grants in China previously and has made substantial contribution to initiate and secure several UK-China international projects in recent years at her Cambridge group, including a highly competitive RCUK-MOST co-funded project under “UK-China Cooperation Program in Global Priorities” scheme and another BBSRC UK-China partnership award. Tracy‘s expertise lies in bacterial virulence and pathogenesis, functional genomics, vaccine development, international collaboration, project management and coordination.
